Lia here, I'm hoping to complete my first & second year BA (Hons) in Public Relation at the local University here in Malaysia. As i have a dreams that need to be achieve to boost my portfolio in terms of academic and curriculum when i get to studying abroad. It could make me so happy even though the only option i can do is ro be an exchange students. I want to have that experience where not many people can get.
However, I've been accepted to one of the best private University in Central Jakarta to persue my dream as a PR students for about 6 months in their lovely country. For being accepted by them has been such a blessing for me and my family.
I have yet to raise my tuition fees which are due around earlier of September 2018. The 6 months course would total up to Rp.29 million ($2000) and it is crucial that living expenses in Central Jakarta are quite exepesive for me to survive even though Malaysia's economy rates are higher than Indonesia's. I’m hope to pay off the visa, insurance, rentals, transportations and meals for my 6 months living there to continue studying with the university.
I have been studying in Malaysia all my life with my single mother that need to take care of her 5 children including me . Unfortunately she is no longer able to support me and my 2 other sister financially as she almost don't have enough money to make us survive in education. But many supportive, loving families & communities have been responsible in raising and nurturing me and my other sister who are stil school and studying over years, and it is the reason I have been able to progress to the level I am at. For this offer , I am very grateful.
At the moment I am also struggling to find a job while i am on my semester break for 1 month to lessen my financial burden. I've apply and sent my resume to a few company that probably would consider to hired me as their part time employees until the day i can fly to Indonesia.
I consider Indonesia as one of my dream country to go to. As I'm deeply rooted into its society, from being an active citizen with such amazing cultures, and traditions. I'm very passionate and enthusiastic about my strengths & abilities which in return I look forward to giving back one day when I can finally stand on my own two feet, and can make my family proud.
I appreciate you taking the time to read my story and will be very grateful for every donation made toward my further education.
Please share your support by helping Lia to survive staying in Jakarta!
