Being the first of its kind in LPC, the LPC Rowathon is an initiative of the Rowing QC that aims to build team spirit, within the QC and with the community, while working in solidarity towards a cause.
The rowathon, to us, is a tremendous challenge: 9 members of the QC, rowing for 12 hours, on 4 ergometers (aka rowing machines/simulators) at the courtyard. We will take turns to row on the ergometer, and we aim to cover 300 kilometres with our four ergometers.
As an activity QC, we're aware and mindful of the importance of physical wellbeing to a person's life. Throughout the course of the event, we'll be raising funds/donations that are dedicated for Orbis International (NGO in Hong Kong) which has trained thousands of medical professionals for outreaching humanitarian work in remote places.
