Please help Leward & his family

This fundraiser is for Leward Moonga and his family. He is just 11 years old and is a survivor of a very serious fire which destroyed his family home and took the lives of his pregnant mother and 3 sisters.

The baby his mother was carrying, was able to be delivered. Her name is Mutinya, she is 3 years old and is his only remaining sister.

His father’s hands, head and back were severely burned trying to save his family and this has affected his mobility. He has been unable to continue his work as a bricklayer because of his injuries. This has put a huge strain on their family, emotionally, physically and financially.

This lack of income has meant that Leward has not attended school for 3 years. They have not been able to afford the essential cream needed for their burns and their entire family has been surviving on just one loaf of bread between them for several days!!

When we visited, Leward’s father fell to his knees in tears and BEGGED us to help his family.

This family have been through so much pain. We would like to try and bring some light back into their lives.

We are appealing for contributions towards Leward’s school tuition fees so he can return back to education for the first time in three years. We would also like to fund food, basic supplies and burns cream for the family.

£5 can provide this family with one month of specialist burn cream and lotion.

£7 can provide this family with one full week of food.

£15 can provide Leward an entire month of education at his old school.
