2015 Spiritual Retreat in Paraguay (SouthAmerica)

Hello, my name is Andrés! My wife and I we are raising money for our first mission trip to South America. We are getting ready to take a short term mission trip to city called Asuncion (Paraguay) for about a week to attend a Christian intercessors conference to spread the Kingdom of God as a part of the research for my first book. I was born in Colombia, but now I live in DC Area. I am a worship leader in a Latino church in the suburbs of Maryland, and I am studying a Master Degree in Ministry with Koreans. My wife and I We have both been involved intensively on short term mission trips to America, and we are called to invest our lives in this type of ministry. We, the whole family, are starting the fire, teaching about the Kingdom of God, one soul at the time. We need your help to make it a reality!

Hacking the Church?

Do you remember the scene in Apollo 13, where they dump everything on the table and say, ‘We have to find a solution, with only these materials?’ and there is, you know, duct tape? that’s all it is! With this example we can understand that Hacking is building a way to go from here to there. The term “hacking” has undergone a recent transformation in the popular lexicon, back to its 'amoral' general origins as a method of discovery and recombination. We want to reinterpret the term #hacking to bring awareness that the religious status-quo lost track in some point in the history and it is time to go back to the genuine, the truth, the pure, the authentic designs when we are seeking the intimacy with God almighty.

As many Christians believers we are so tired of going every Sunday to a Church Service to find that the vast majority of the times, people came out almost equally thirstily than they came in the beginning...Crowds spiritually thirsty, that end up even emptier when a Service is finished and they still feeling dry, empty, confused ... Service does not intend to warm up a chair two hours per week. The idea of God about church has nothing to be with people sleeping because the sermon is too cold, too religious, plenty of rituals and their lives are not changing.

Something has to change!

Christians across denominations are using to repurpose, mobilize and reform the church. It is like hacking how we implement the model for the future of Christianity. We are convinced that Jesus is the cornerstone, but something happened all the way from the cross to nowadays. And the Bible teach us that that "original code" was revealed from the eternity to all who wanted to obey the Lord.

Now, the hard thing is, that what we see today is far from the original design of God to the humanity. See eastern countries. In America According to a study by Ken Ham, founder and president of Answers in Genesis, we are losing the next generation of believers before they even graduate from high school.

Statistics said that 95 percent of 20- to 29-year-old evangelicals attended church regularly during their elementary and middle school years. Only 55 percent went to church during high school and by college, only 11 percent were still attending church.

Nearly 40 percent of the surveyed people in their twenty's first had doubts about the Bible in middle school. Another 43.7 percent said they first doubted that all the accounts and stories in the Bible are true during their high school years. Only around 10 percent said they first became doubtful about the Bible accounts during college.

A missionary trip and finishing the book

We have been given an opportunity to visit a community in Asunción Paraguay through a church called "CCA Casa de Amor" (House of Love). This organization has a global mission to have an impact on every child of God in the world with the love of Jesus and train missionaries and ministers (like us) . They also focus in share about Jesus and his love though theater and arts. In addition to work with this organization, we plan to comeback to publish my book title "Shut up, and Preach!" (Cállate y predica!) in two languages; this book is already in the editorial process. This trip and the posterior publication of the book are critical in our call of bring reform to the church. I'm willing, and able, to do the work and follow the voice of the Spirit for this time. Please join us in helping make this vision a reality!

Financially goal

At first, we will stay only during the last week of November 2015. Financially, we need to raise about $10,000 for the airfares, the expenses, and the publication of the book (design, style corrections and distribution). Round trip flights generally cost a little less than $1,500 each. Any money that we raise that exceeds these expenses can be used for further mission work.

The donation will be also used to launch the book "Shut up, and Preach!" during the months of January-February. The funds are also directed to all the campaign of awareness and the journey of go to churches, schools and universities here in MD, VA and DC. We are going to train and sensitize other Christian's leaders and people like you and me who want to know God with the freshness of the spirit without the sleepiness of rituals away from the grace in the Gospel of Kingdom of God. We already contacted 17 churches, and they are within for us to go.

Be part of a transformation

It is the momentum to go back to the revelation that comes from the spirit of God and His Holy Spirit. We need to create awareness in America, about the Bible and the Christians' foundations in with this country was established. This is a time where people truly committed to see the Kingdom come has to mobilize. We will go to Asuncion, for preaching, praying and intercede and worshipping together with prophets and prayer warriors from world wide. Those who attend are going to be trained and receive teachings to branch off and start their own house churches back in the United States. This is a major way that the Gospel can continue to spread in differents ways in our neighborhoods, far from the traditional standard of politically correct Gospel, but keeping the eyes on Christ and the power of His Spirit. It is time to make the heavenly designs come down and correct our coursework. The "wood" is dry and ready to receive "fire" from heavens. With your help, we will see this vision coming to reality. It is time to repurpose, mobilize and reform the Christianity. Let's hack the religion together. Thank you in advance for your help in making this come to life!
