Loerieheuwel is a small town in the Sarah Baartman district.

Loerie is a small community where there are few jobs, majority op people depend on "social allowances". Because of the lockdown that we all are staring in the face has a massive impact on incomes of households.

These people are disadvantaged and living in terrible conditions and cannot afford to buy food at stores because they do not have transportation to get to stores.

There are little or even no food available in this households and the " spaza shops" are the only shops to which they have access and their prices have gone up.

These people live in difficult circumstances where hardy good sanitation is available to use.

This disease is increasing rapidly and people with low immunity are more vulnerable.

The residents of Loerie are in desperate need.

Little food parcels have been given to the community. While surrounding areas like Patensie and Hankey are doing good at donating food parcels. We delivered 1000 packets of nartjies on 21 April 2020 that was donated by a Farm in Patensie. The organizer was the Councillor of Patensie and Loerie residents.

Our aim is to feed Loerie's less fortunate until the lockdown is over.

We will be supporting our stores around the Eastern Cape ( Jeffreysbay) buying in bulk and making up food parcels to be given to every household.

There will be police officers patrolling around and making sure social distance is being followed and to protect .

Every little donation will make a difference.
