KEEPING FAITH, LOVE & HOPE: Help Our Little Warrior Win His Fight

“Most parents dream of the moment their child is born and holding them only minutes after”. But for my wife, Joanna and I, it would be a long time before we could at least gently caress our little boy.

Baby Riley Miguel D. Bautista (Baby Riley), my son, barely 29 weeks inside his mom’s tummy was rushed to the hospital last January 18, 2021 at around 2:00 a.m. because his mom was then bleeding and was subsequently diagnosed of preterm labor. The labor progressed despite the interventions provided at the hospital and Baby Riley, weighing 1.6 kilograms, was born January 18, 2021 at 7:30 a.m.

Upon delivery, Baby Riley was admitted to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and was placed inside the incubator. With the common complications of a premature baby, Baby Riley is currently experiencing bleeding in his left lung (Pulmonary Hemorrhage and Sepsis) and still fragile enough to need monitors and oxygen.

There was a time that our world stopped in somewhat of unsure failed hopes as our Baby Riley stopped breathing for 30 seconds and his left lung started bleeding (diagnosis mentioned earlier). This was the time that our Baby Riley urgently needed for blood transfusions, but due this pandemic, with no bloodletting activities, no bloods available enough, we were really in a hard time finding and desperately asking for a blood. But keeping our FAITH, Baby Riley strongly and patiently waited until his blood transfusion is done.

Baby Riley is still in the NICU up to this time. He is really fighting for his life and deserves all the chances to survive.

Me and my wife are knocking on your kind hearts and immeasurable generosity for prayers, LOVE and financial help for the overwhelming medical needs of our Baby Riley. As we go through these battles of emotional and financial turmoil, we will never lose HOPE for God will never left us nor forsaken us especially in these trying times.
