Let’s save this mother from cancer

This is the story of a mother who was diagnosed with a very agressive inflammatory and hormones-sensitive cancer.

She just turned 38 years old, divorced with 2 lovely kids of 3 & 4 years old. Last august, the doctors told her that after going through all the protocol (chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hormonotherapy and surgery) Without forgetting, the lengthy remission period, she would have another 3-4 years left to live. Without these heavy medical procedures, her life expectation would be reduced to a year, at best.

Now, armed with extensive researches, she decided not to follow any of these treatments and Instead opted for an alternative treatment called Immunotherapy.

She has found a medical center in Germany specialized in immunotherapy treatment without inevitably going through chemotherapy. Here in Belgium, the immunotherapy treatment is only used as a last resort as it is extremely costly. In the meantime, patients undergo these heavy treatments which destroy the immune system. That is why she prefers to stimulate the immune system rather than weakening it as it would be totally careless of her at this critical stage of the disease.

The full treatment of 4 weeks costs 29 000 euros. We already reached 18 000 euros but it’s not Enough! The extras will allow her to cover the logistics expenses such as accommodation, travels, etc...)

C'est l'histoire d'une maman atteinte d'un cancer inflammatoire très aggressif, invasif et hormonosensible.

Elle vient d'avoir 38 ans, divorcée et maman de 2 amours de 4 et 3ans.

Au mois d'aôut dernier, les médecins lui ont annoncé qu'après avoir suivi tout leur protocole (chimiothérapie, radiothérapie, hormonothérapie et opération) sans oublier la longue période de rémission, il lui resterait 3 à 4 ans à vivre, sans tout ça, pas plus d'un an. Elle a préféré ne pas suivre ce traitement sur base de recherches et à opté pour un traitement alternatif, l'immunothérapie.

Elle a trouvé un centre en Allemagne qui traite par immunothérapie sans devoir obligatoirement passer par la chimiothérapie. Ici en Belgique, ils font l'immunothérapie en dernier recours car c'est trop cher, mais en attendant les patients subissent un traîtement très lourd qui démoli le système immunitaire. C'est pour quoi elle préfère le stimuler directement car l'affaiblir à son stade serait insouciant et inconscient.

Le traitement complèt de 4 semaines l'élève à 29.000 euros. On en est déjà à 18.000 euros mais ce n'est pas encore assez. Le surplus lui permettrait de payer toute la logistique (déplacements, logement, etc...).

Aidons cette mère et soyons une des causes pour qu'elle puisse voir grandir ses enfants.

Het gaat om een alleenstaande mama van twee (4 jaar en 3 jaar) kinderen, die nu de moeilijkste momenten van haar leven doormaakt. Misschien wel haar laatste momenten.

Deze mama heeft ons nodig. Ze heeft volgens dokters niet meer lang te leven. Haar enige hoop is een behandeling dmv immunotherapie in Duitsland, een behandeling aan 29.000 euros.

Laat ons tonen, vooral op zo’n momenten, dat we mensen zijn, en dat wat ons samen houdt juist ons menselijkheid is. Laat ons deze mama helpen, zodat ze nog een aantal jaren met haar lieve schatjes kan doorbrengen, zonder wie ze helemaal alleen komen te staan. Laat ons even alle steriele debatten opzijschuiven, en ons focussen op de essentie: LEVEN! Wanneer iemands leven aan een dun draadje hangt, is het enige wat wij kunnen doen ons menszijn tonen, warmte geven en hulp aanbieden waar nodig is..

In augustus werd ze met een ontstekingskanker gediagnostiseerd. De kanker is zeer agressief en hormoongevoelig. De dokters vertelden ze dat ze de hele lading moest krijgen: chemotherapie, radiotherapie, hormoontherapie en een operatie. Met deze interventies zou ze 3 à 4 jaar te leven hebben. Zonder chemotherapie heeft ze misschien nog een jaar te gaan.

Ze heeft, om haar levenskansen te vergroten, een oplossing gevonden: immunotherapie. In België is immunotherapie een laatste redmiddel, aangezien het erg kostbaar is. Het probleem is dat chemotherapie vaak een te zware behandeling is die het immuunsysteem helemaal niet bespaart. Zij stimuleert daarom liever haar immuunsysteem, gezien het stadium waarin ze zich bevindt.

De medicale centrum bevindt zich in Duitsland. Ze heeft een totaalbedrag van 29.000 euros nodig om de behandeling starten.

Dit bedrag heeft ze uiteraard niet, maar heeft al een bedrag van 18.000 euros kunnen inzamelen. Een gedeelte daarvan zou ook dienen voor de logistiek (verplaatsingen, slaapkamer, enz...) Daarom doen we, lieve mensen, beroep op jullie solidariteit en vrijgevigheid. Help ze haar overlevingskansen te vergroten, zodat ze er nog kan zijn voor haar kleine kindjes!
