Let’s help these AMAZING children have a brighter future through a better education!

Hi,

We are a group of volunteers from PMGY Ghana and are looking for your help! We have all spent a lot of time in Kumasi, Ghana volunteering on a range of projects, including teaching, medical and orphanage.

At our volunteer house there is a group of children who come and see us every day and spend a lot of time on our porch. These friendly and lively children have a huge impact on every volunteer and their time in Ghana. Despite facing many struggles in life including affording food and education, these children constantly smile, maintain a positive attitude and inspire each and every one of us on a daily basis. Education is vital in today's society and therefore it can have a huge impact on their lives.

The school that we hope to send them to is called New Life International School and the children range from 3yrs to 13 years. Amazingly, five children from the porch have already been sponsored by volunteers to attend this school and are having the best time ever! So now our goal is to provide the rest of them with an opportunity to brighten their future . The children are Rose (13yrs), Doris (13yrs), Melinda (10yrs), Kelvin (7yrs), Benedicta (7yrs) and Lois (3yrs). School fees are dependent on age and class, but roughly it costs 450 Ghana Cedis (approximately £70, €80 and $90 USD) to send a child to this school per term (there are three terms in each academic year).

We’re hoping to be able to send all of these children to school through this page, and your donations will not only be able to help them to receive a better education, but also help them access other things such as food and supplies for school.

Thank you to Florence who is an inspiration to us all, understands the importance of education and goes above and beyond for every child. She will manage the donations once they are sent to Ghana, deal with school fee payments and maintain communication between volunteers, the school, families and donors.

This is an on-going foundation and therefore you are able to donate to this cause on a monthly basis.
