Let’s help them take care of sick children!

To all you Beautiful Souls out there,

It is that time of the year when I kindly and gratefully invite my friends to support me in raising money and awareness for a Luxembourg based charity whose work I deeply admire, and whose trustfulness is beyond any doubt. For the past 28 years the dedicated team of professionals of the Kriibskrank Kanner Foundation has done an amazing job supporting children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases, as well as their families.

'Your child has cancer...' Terrifying words for any parent to hear. In the midst of despair, sadness and confusion, when living takes on a whole new meaning, the foundation's help comes to support the sick child and his family in every possible way, taking care of administrative and financial aspects, offering emotional and therapeutical support, looking after siblings, providing free lodging for the family during the child's treatment, and so much more. All this work is funded exclusively by donations. Volunteering is highly appreciated as well.

It was back in 2011 that I found out about the Global Biking Initiative (GBI) which inspired me with their motto: 'We cycle for charity', and I have been participating to their yearly week-long cycling challenges ever since, covering long distances while crossing several European countries. http://www.gbi-event.org/en/home.html

This year about 400 participants representing more than 25 countries in the world will cycle the almost 700km from London to Dusseldorf from 2nd to 7th July. It will be a celebration of our united efforts in raising money for various causes in the countries we represent. And my cause is bringing some support to the sick children in need and hopefully contribute to their physical and emotional healing. Every small donation counts.
