Hi, Good Day!

Maritess or Tet is a very dear friend of mine. She's been diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2011 and has been fighting those cancer cells ever since. She's trying very hard to be strong and at some point, even kept it a secret to her family so that she will not be a "burden" to them (her exact words). Tet has been the provider for her family even when she was undergoing chemotherapy. For some time she regained her health and was back to her jolly OLD self again (I always tease her how old she is).

However, a few years ago the cancer cells metastasized in her spine, she was then placed on Medical Leave by the company she worked for but eventually she was let go. Now, she's been going to PSCO, PGH and also relying on her SSS pension for the chemo and radiation therapy. In the Philippines, you really have to wait, sometimes for months, to get some help and even if the service is free, you still have to buy the medicine.

Tet wore braces to help her stand, sit and walk. This was when the cancer cells started to spread to her spine, she was undergoing radiation at this time.

Recently, one of our friends visited her, she can barely move. Aside from the medicine fund, we are planning to buy her a TENS equipment to help the nerve in her muscles. This equipment will help her to possibly stand and walk again.

So I am asking you guys to extend a helping hand, let's help Tet to fight cancer and regain her health and be the jolly and crafty Tet that we know and love with all our hearts.
