Let’s Help Tatay

This funding campaign is for my student's grandfather. Her grandpa was diagnosed with stage 4 Cancer and was admitted in the hospital since November 6, 2019.

My student is a responsible one, so I knew something was wrong when I noticed something off with her attendances.

After probing, I found out that she can barely go to school because of financial reasons, and also because her grandpa was ill. She and her grandmother would take turns looking after her grandpa, tatay Danilo, when he was sent to the hospital.

My student lives with her grandparents eversince she was 3 years old. Her grandparents raised her and her younger sister.

My student's grandparents are already old and are unable to finance the hospitalization. As of writing, they have already incurred 400,000 pesos in medical expenses.

Tatay Danilo is being kept at the hospital and the family is unable to send him home because they are unable to pay the hospital bills. Sadly, the bills are just going to get bigger and bigger the longer tatay stays.

My student tries to find means to support herself so she can finish school. She is on her last semester, and I really want her to graduate. Hopefully, she will be able to find a job as soon as she graduates this year, so she may be able to help her family.
