Let’s help Tanisha Lawrence

On the 7th of July 2018 at roughly 10:30am Tanisha was travelling into Kununurra where she was working at the time when the unthinkable happened her world and her family’s world have been turned upside down. Tanisha was in a serious car accident and flown to Darwin due to the seriousness of her injuries, Tanisha sustained the following injuries:

Ruptured Spleen
Detached Kidney
Lung damage
Hole in Diaphragm
Fracture in C and T vertebrae
3 pelvic fractures
Fractured shoulder blade and collar bone
Fractured eye socket
Broken ribs

The result after 4 surgeries over 2 weeks being:
Removal of Spleen
Removal of kidney
Partial removal of stomach
Perforation in stomach

34 days in ICU and is now in the surgical ward slowly gaining her strength, learning to walk again and a whole lot more. Tanisha and Joanne are not from Darwin they live in Albury so I had never met Tanisha or her family before this day, I got a phone call from one of my best mates Kate Marten who explained the situation and asked if I could help out in anyway. Since the accident me and my family have had the pleasure of meeting both Tanisha and her mother Joanne who I’m happy to say is now staying at our place while Tanisha is still recovering in hospital. My family and I have watched both Tanisha and Jo go through so much since that day and we are amazed how much strength and determination they both have. There is still a long way to go for Tanisha and her recovery so my family and I want to try and help out a little bit more and raise money for all the extra expenses if you can help out in any way we would really appreciate it big or small every cent matters.
