Let’s Help Mikka Fight Cancer

Dear Family and Friends,

Our dear friend Mikka has been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. The cancer has already metastasized to her lungs and bones which means that Mikka would be needing to get treatment the soonest possible time.

At this point, her urgent treatment is to undergo chemotherapy for 6 months. See description below:

1) 4 cycles of Doxetacel

2) 4 cycles of Doxorubicin and Cyclophosphamide

3) Monthly Zoledronic acid drip

This procedure alone will cost Mikka a minimum of PhP 400,000. On top of this, numerous tests and scans will have to be done on a regular basis to monitor how her body will react to the treatment, and how the cancer responds.

Brief Story:

It was only very recent (November 5, 2021) that Mikka was diagnosed with breast cancer. This was very shocking as she totally felt fine and healthy. Initially, the recommendation by the doctor was to undergo lumpectomy. After agreeing to do the procedure, things turned for the worst. Further tests and scans showed that the cancer was already beyond the breast. It has already metastasized into her lungs and bones, which meant that she could not go through surgery anymore.

Our Appeal to You:

Mikka is facing an uphill battle and she needs all the support she can get. Half of her mind, she is being tortured by this gruesome reality. The other half of her mind is trying to avoid falling into a hole of hopelessness.

Let's help Mikka fight her cancer. She is fighting not only for herself, but also for her husband Adam, Brent (15 years old), and Margo (3 years old).
