Mark is the store manager of ScooterDepot Philippines located in BF Homes, Paranaque. He is always thrilled to greet you when you come in, quickly remembers your name and helps your overall visit to the store end on a high note.

Mark is so positive that it is easy to miss his stress lying underneath, because just a few weeks ago, he had been operated on to remove a golf ball-sized tumor in his urinary bladder. His medical expenses ran up to P129,000 (P38,000 of which was covered by PhilHealth and medical benefits/insurance) and chemotherapy plus cystoscopy and CT scan are expected to reach an additional P114,000 approximately. Additionally, post-chemo followup checkups he needs to take every 3 months for a few years can range in cost from P10,000 to P20,000 per visit, depending on what procedures are still needed for his recovery. He and his wife are expecting their first child in July, and they are facing tens of thousands of pesos in bills and borrowed money for his operation, chemotherapy, cystoscopy, and post-chemo checkups/procedures - all unexpected costs they cannot afford. He has used up all the benefits he can avail from medical insurance and PhilHealth. It is the hope of this fund-raising campaign that we can raise some money to take some of the stress off of Mark, to allow him to continue undergoing chemotherapy to get himself well and ready to return to work.

Mark is a very humble and kind man who never asks anyone for anything, but gives a great deal to his friends and family in kind, as what his friends will attest to. I hope that people will make a contribution to this fund to allow Mark to continue with his treatments, to demonstrate to Mark how much we care about him, to let him know that he means a lot to all of us.

If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected]. You may also contact Mark directly. To friends and family, please message him on FB for his contact details if you don't already have it. All funds from this campaign will go directly to Mark, so that he can cover expenses for his chemotherapy sessions and medical expenses, and financial loss from him having time off.

And now we cant get out of this hospital because we need to pay the excess bill. I hope anyone out there will be kind enough to help us even just a small amount.

Update posted by Leslie Canete at 03:40 am

Hello there, thank you for visiting our campaign page. After Mark's weekly chemo treatments are done, he will need a cystoscopy & more tests to determine what further treatments are required for him to get better, as well as regular follow-up doctor visits, especially in the first few years after. . . . .
