John is 30 year old former banker who lives in Nairobi-Kenya. As a result of witnessing suffering due to lack of decent accommodation of Cancer Patients coming to seek medical treatment in the largest and only cancer referral hospital in Kenya called Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi, he decided to resign from his job this year in the bank to focus on building decent facilities and hostels for accommodating cancer patients as they wait to undergo screening and treatment.

Kenyatta National Hospital is the only public hospital offering cheap cancer treatment in Kenya and as result many poor cancer patients travel from all corners of Kenya and across East Africa to come for medical treatment. The hospital does not provide food and accommodation to these patients and most of these poor patients survive on well wishers and if they are not lucky, some die in the process. Since the hospital does not have facility to accommodate them, they are forced to spend sleepless night on the cold persevering harsh weather and since the doctors see them on first come, first served basis, many of the patients sleep in very inhumane conditions for couple of days and unfortunately most of those patients who are seriously sick with advanced cancer, die due to hunger and cold weather before they are able to finally access finally see the doctor.

This is where John comes in. Through his company, Eagle Trading Kenya, and support form well wishers and donors, he is going to build the first Hostel near Kenyatta National Hospital with a capacity of 2,000 beds to accommodate and feed the cancer patients as they wait to undergo treatment in the hospital. If John succeeds in his goal of providing decent meals, accommodation and counseling services to cancer patients in Nairobi Kenya, many patients will survive and recover quickly and manage to undergo all the necessary cancer treatment programs without challenges.

John has made every sacrifice to make this dream a reality and currently he is in consultation with the government and land-owners next to the hospital to secure a piece of land where the hostel will be build. All monies raised will go directly into building this facility and the hostel will be called Hope Center.

Let's help John build Hope Center and end suffering of cancer patients by providing decent meals and accommodation to our beloved mothers, brothers, sisters and fathers as they undergo various types of cancer treatments.
