Campaign Story
A dear friend, Dee or Saadiah, moved to US in search for a better life for herself. Now, she's a single mother of 2. Sept 13th 2016 changed her life & that of her family, when her daughter Rheanna, aged 3, was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome, a severe neurological disorder with no known cure.
Rheanna has to go through several therapies & many doctor or specialist visits. Having to quit her job, she struggled; to care for Rheanna, be there for Rashad, her son who is 10. She persevered and marched on like an army general.
Then on August 18th 2017, her world came crashing down on her yet again as she was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.
This is where I need your help. In order for her to be there for her kids, she needs treatment herself but because of her illness, she is currently unemployed. Maintaining a roof over their heads, the cost of commuting for doctor's visits, putting food on the table & just the basic necessities is proving to be a struggle. She would love to come back to Singapore to be with her family but as of now, there is no hospital here that provides any form of therapy for Rett Syndrome.
I am appealing to you, my dear family and friends, to do what you can to assist Dee. This is one battle she should not and must not go through by herself.
Let us do our bit to ease her burden so that she could seek the proper treatment needed for her in order for her to be there for kids. Your contribution of any amount will also ensure Rheanna gets to explore more therapies that will only move her forward and Rashad to be a kid.
