Lets give Sandra a fighting chance!
I am appealing for help on behalf of my friend, Sandra. She has battled with fibroids since 2017. Sadly, in the same year she had to have her pregnancy terminated as the fibroids were putting both her life and the baby's at risk.
A couple of weeks ago, Sandra fell critically ill and she was rushed to a local public hospital. Unfortunately, they were not assisted as the hospital stated that they were not taking new intakes due to COVID19 and the current lockdown. The hospital is also under a lot of strain due to the weak Zimbabwean health system.
Fortunately, Sandra was admitted at a Private hospital where the medical bills are exorbitantly high so much that the family is struggling to cope. Her husband is currently not working due to the current lockdown.
On Friday 29 May 2020, the doctors diagnosed her with kidney failure due to severe anaemia, that is not having enough blood in her circulatory system. The risk of developing heart failure as a result of the anaemia was a huge threat to Sandra's life if she did not get blood transfusion urgently. She will also need to start Kidney treatment (Dialysis) which will increase the medical bill.
The family has and is still doing everything they can however the bills are hefty and Sandy's life is at risk. She urgently needs US$2,790 (R48000) for the 7 days that she has been hospitalized and so far we have raised US$480. This will cover the hospital stay, phycician, blood transfusions and medication etc.
As Sandra is still critically ill in hospital this amount will definitely increase.
Please donate what you can so that she can get the blood transfusion done sooner and give Sandra a fighting chance!
I have known Sandra for many years. She is someone who always goes the extra mile to assist others in their time of need. Please help me help Sandra in her own time of need.
