Let’s Give Colour to Education!

Hello, everyone. Thank you for your interest in my page.

My name is Laima. I am an English and French teacher at “M.Eminescu” Theoretical Lyceum in the town of Leova, Republic of Moldova.

I love my job a lot. My goal is to make my students enjoy learning languages and feel free and confident when using them in real life situations.

I try to do my classes interactive, engaging, interesing and motivating.

So, my teaching methods are different as well as the tools and materials necessary for one or another activity. There is a computer and a projector available in the classroom. The thing I need to add is a color printer. You may ask why?

In my work I deal with students of different ages, learning styles and specific educational needs. Some of the students are not allowed to use the screen too much because of sight problems, others learn better by working on sheets or with flashcards (tactile learning style). And you know, all children no matter their age, like working with colorful cards and pictures, to be able to touch them and share them with their mates from hand to hand. I like to organize games, role-playing and disscussion activities, make decorations with my students and then I have to use copies of documents, pictures, flashcards, copies of test sheets, etc. It is very difficult to prepare them, as there are only two very slow black printers available in our school, one-for the administration and the other often needs repairs. More than that, we are about 45 teachers working here.

By this fundraising campaign and definitely with your support, dear follower-donor, I want to purchase 2 modern color printers and 1 black printer. In this way we would help our school teachers with printing and multiplying materials as many and often as they need.

To show our gratitude,students and teachers will make a poster about this campaign, mentioning the people who supported it and every class will do a lesson on the importance of charity and volunteer work.
