The Backstory
The Waikato Rowing Club (WRC) has mustered over 50 athletes to compete in the New Zealand Club Championships (NZCC) to be held at Lake Ruataniwha, Twizel, 19 - 23 February 2019.
The Costs
To support both the club and its athletes, we are endeavouring to fundraise a significant portion of the cost so it does not limit any of our athletes competing. Despite the WRC’s short history, it has become NZ’s most successful rowing club. With our biggest team in history, there is an approximate cost of $55,000 to attend National Club Championships. Every athlete is self-funded, with majority studying at university level.

Any possible contribution you could make will go a long way for this hard working and diligent group of athletes. The Club and athletes are working hard to make it possible to attend Nationals by fundraising opportunities such as protein bar fundraising, individual sponsorship and hosting various social evenings.
