How're you doing today?
I hope you are well and that you're coping in the insane year 2020 has become. Needless to say, 2020 has been a very challenging year for the Studio also, as a tiny business, essentially, a one-woman run show. There are so many businesses that have had to close due to Covid, and I am truly blessed to say , The Sew Much Fun Studio, has just, just managed to keep the doors open. Due to the numerous lockdown regulations, and extreme restrictions that we had to operate under, the studio suffered incredibly huge financial losses this year. We are therefor running this campaign, in a bid to be able to fund the continued work for the upcoming year, to pay for kitting out the new studio premises we are renting since 15 August, and to set up a a great work space for our customers, students, and patrons.
We also plan to employ a few people to assist with the continued creation of online course contents, some super duper kewl studio merchandise, and of course more rewards and fun activities for anyone into sewing, DIY, textiles, making their own clothing and always, always, for The Love of Sewing! A large portion of the funding will also go into translation of some of the studio's very popular course contents, so we can offer our online content all over Africa, and in countries where English is not the spoken language. We hope that this will assist in creating the very much needed and missing high quality content for online learning in the needle arts.
Any donations are Sew Much Appreciated & you will be part of the creation of a hopefully life-long journey in spreading the love of sewing and creating independence for people who learn to sew, give dignity where there is serious financial need, and of course, for those who want to start a business, prosperity - all through the wonderful skill of sewing! #MakeItSew
