Salem Poni is a beautiful, bright and intelligent young South African girl living in the informal settlement of Imizamo Yethu in Hout Bay, Cape Town, South Africa. She’s the 5 year old daughter of committed and supportive parents Edgar and Memory Poni. They are a wonderful family committed to uplifting themselves.
Salem has spent the last 3 years as a bursary student of the wonderful My Montessori Eco School in Hout Bay - http://www.mymontessoriecoschool.com/ - courtesy of the generosity of Gillian Roy and partner. Having had such a wonderful educational start we are committed to ensuring Salem achieves her full potential by continuing her educational journey in Hout Bay’s finest educational establishments Valley Pre-Primary School - http://www.valleypreprimary.co.za/ - and Kronendal Primary School http://kronendal.co.za/
Today Salem had a wonderful interview with the headmistress of Valley Pre-Primary School Christa van den Berg. Christa complimented Salem on her wonderful interview; as she believes Salem has the potential to excel educationally she’d welcome Salem as a 2017 Grade R student.
Regrettably Salem’s parents are unable to afford the school fees for Salem to join Valley Pre-Primary School so we need to raise $3000 [R45,000] to cover her 2017 school fees. We can apply for financial assistance / fee reduction from Kronendal Primary School from 2018 onwards.
Please, please help us make Salem’s dream come true.
Thank you for your support.
