This campaign is for my son with an incurable disease. He has a bleeding disorder, this is a hereditary bleeding disorder caused by a lack of blood clotting factor IX. Without enough factors, the blood cannot clot properly to control bleeding.

He has (BRAIN BLEEDING) due to arteriovenous malformation (AVM) - IT is an abnormal tangle of blood vessels connecting arteries and veins, which disrupts normal blood flow and oxygen circulation. Arteries are responsible for taking oxygen-rich blood from the heart to the brain. He had suffered 5 seizures last Saturday until Sunday morning, and his Blood pressure was not stable. Good thing he was not intubated, but he has been in closed monitoring by the hematologists and neurologists and has been backed up by the ICU team for anticipatory. After 1 1/2 weeks of observation, his BP has stabilized, and he no longer has seizures. I was advised that my son needs to undergo an angiogram to detect and evaluate the blockages in his veins.

In the meantime, the doctors have decided to discharge him when his vitals have stabilized already and for him to take some rest with home medications for HI BP and LEVITERECETAM for anticonvulsant, as his home meds, while the doctors are still planning on how to get the operations possible for him, as this could be risky in his case.

We are asking for assistance financially from you, the vials that we needed are being provided by a foundation in the Philippines (Hemophilia Advocates Philippines - HAP). However, they can only provide for him, only while the supply lasts. The rest would be for us to shoulder. We can also take another option through blood transfusions with cryosupernate - 6 bags a day as an alternative, but not advisable. Otherwise the veins would collapse and the bleeding could get worse. The vials can also be purchased in UST Hospital for $27k per vial, which we could not afford.
