Suddenly, the weather has become chilly, we can finally say that winters have arrived. For most of us, winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth. But once think about those lesser fortunate people, who have no shelter, no blanket, no shoes and no warm clothes. This winter think of those poor people who have hardly even full-sized thin clothing to cover their bodies in wide open places. The poor are left at the mercy of cold weather in Bangladesh. There are many poor men, women including children who seek to survive the cold winter. It will not be an exaggeration to call winter the hell of the poor since they suffer severely. The winter is a thorn in the side of the poor across the country and inflict heavy sufferings upon them. Many of us constantly touched with the pain and anguish of poor men and women who sit on streets from the break of dawn to the fall of dusk, in this cold weather, to earn some money for their survival. The poor children can’t go to the school for the curse of their poverty in winter season not for having proper cloths. They suffer greatly by many diseases in winter. The old poor persons also suffer in winter. The main motive behind writing this story is to bring our whole community together to help poor people. If we enlarge our helping hand, small donation will keep a major part for surviving the poor in winter. Give money, donate medicines, blankets, old warm clothes, even your old shoes to needy people. Poor people can benefit from your old jackets, scarves, shawls, socks, even shoes. This will save thousands of valuable lives and help them survive the harshness of nature as poor people suffer much in the winters.
