I always had a dream of having my own magazine. I'm an expat living in Bangkok, Thailand and I have been saving and working towards that dream for about 2 years. I have almost finished the site and I bought the domain name bangkoknightlife.com, the best possible name both for SEO (search engine optimization) as well as marketing.

What is Bangkok Nightlife?

Bangkok Nightlife is a lifestyle magazine & guide to venues focusing on the nightlife in Bangkok. A site that let's you find venues, happy hours, restaurant deals, read reviews and articles as well as watch our video channel or just browse through some nightlife photos. Our target audience is both English speaking women and men: age about 25 – 40 living or visiting Bangkok.

Where we are now!

Together with a designer and another programmer we have developed the 1st version of the site in Wordpress and the site is pretty huge and can be seen at www.bangkoknightlife.com. The site is almost finished, the name is paid for and we just got a good deal on an office, but I’m looking for help to hire people to get content such as writing articles, taking photos and edit videos. This company is too big to be able to work by myself in the startup, and I need at least 3 co-workers right from the beginning.  I have already spent about 15.000 $ and I now need help to pay salary and pay for content for about 6 months.  To do this I would need 23.000 dollars.  

My background is internet marketing and SEO, and I optimize websites to be ranked high on Google or any other search engine for competitive keywords, this service I do for other companies, so I’m pretty confident with some help for the first 6 months I can make this magazine starting to make money and for sure be profitable within 1 year. The amount of monthly searches for Bangkok Nightlife is about 18.000 and we built a customized site with a home page and then 7 sub-index pages within the site, a lot the structure of NY magazine. This to streamline all main parts of the site to drive as much relevant traffic to the site as well as make advertising relevant to the visitors and advertiser as well as maximize profits. We also have integrated videos on the site for each venue so visitors can get a feeling of the place such as food, atmosphere and crowd.
