Julian Maswadeh is a talented young Jerusalemite Palestinian who dreams of using art and pop music to create a more inclusive and tolerant society in Jerusalem - the city loved by so many and also tragically a hot-spot of conflict and strife.
His peace activism and human rights activities have caused him to be shunned by his old university and the difficulties he faces both as a minority in Israel and as an activist in Palestinian society are many.
In October 2019 Julian started his studies at The School of Visual Theatre in Jerusalem. There he hopes to gain the skills to make the difference he wants to make. He received a full scholarship for tuition, but no help with paying for expensive equipment needed for his development and success in his studies (including high quality laptop with music software, high quality headphones and other equipment) or for living expenses. And as classes run from morning till late night, and then have homework on top of that, it's nearly impossible for him to find work he can do.
In light of all this Julian is asking for help to cover the expenses for equipment, for his travel to and from school, and if possible also for his living costs so he can succeed in his studies and gain the skills to truly make a difference and act for the causes of inclusion, peace, tolerance, freedom and self expression he so passionately believes in.
