Since 2001, Dragon boat racing has been a big sport on Boracay Island in the Philippines. Every day, from dusk to dawn during the hot summer months, you would see the dragon boats passing your resort out in our blue waters along white beach. The Bugsay Boracay DragonBoat Paddlers team has been competing locally and internationally for the last 12 years and has consistently placed among the top three. The team is comprised of Boracay residents and visitors alike. Our team (30 paddlers) will go and compete to the 1st Sarawak International Dragon Boat Regatta 2014 on September 4 – 8, 2014 in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. In connection with this, THE BUGSAY BORACAY TEAM would like to ask your help to be a supporter of our team and in particular help us with our finances for transportation. We are amateur athletes in our dragonboat club. We usually do not have the privilege to be sponsored by airlines for our travels. Most of our members are regular employees and earning just enough to compensate for our daily needs. Being sponsored by you will help our team members reduce our expenses and focus more on training and bring pride to our homeland.
