She is Cecilia Ramirez, 55 years old. She lives in Las Pinas City, and last December 27, 2019 she has been admitted to Perpetual Help Medical Hospital. She was diagnosed with Gallbladder stones, and eventually had an infection called SEPSIS (a serious condition resulting from the presence of harmful microorganisms in the blood or other tissues and the body’s response to their presence, potentially leading to the malfunctioning of various organs, shock, and death.)

Last December 12, 2019, she had a severe stomach ache and on and off fever.

December 22, 2019 – She had a check-up and diagnosed with UTI. She was given an antibiotics and sent home.

December 25, 2019 – Her mother noticed that her skin became yellowish, and told her to have another check-up.

December 26, 2019 – We went to ER and several lab tests were done as they already suspected an obstructive gallstone.

December 27, 2019 - After hours of waiting for the tests results and availability of room, finally she was admitted and wait for an ultrasound to be performed.

December 28, 2019 – Finally, after waiting for clearance, procedure schedule, and fasting to be done, an ultrasound was already performed and confirmed gallstone obstructed in her bile duct.

December 29, 2019 – They proceed with ERCP. It was unsuccessful that is why they had to do an Open Cholecystectomy.

December 31, 2019 – they conduct an Open Cholecystectomy. Around 6pm she was sent back to her room.

JANUARY 1, 2020 – Everything went so fast. She had a fever at 12noon and she’s having a hard time breathing on her own late afternoon.

January 2, 2020 – I came to her, and she’s really having a hard time to catch her breath. She can’t even fall asleep and around January 3, 2020 past 3am she lose consciousness for a minute. Everything happen so fast and the nurse and doctor just assist her after she passed out. They put a ventilator on her, check her stats and on the afternoon she needed to be on Intensive Care Unit. This time she was diagnosed with SEPSIS.

Thank GOD after 3 weeks, she survived this infection. She went thru A LOT to manage this infection. Her organs started to fail, and she needed to have a dialysis 3x a week. She was moved to ordinary room but after 5 days, my sister notice that her body was swollen and she’s having a hard time again to breathe on her own. Tuesday morning they notice that even here face is also swollen and they had to put her back on the ventilator. Doctors said that maybe SEPSIS came back that the infection affect already her brain and they think we have to prepare ourselves for the worst. We might lose her this time, But GOD provide miracle she manage to stay strong and prove her Doctors that she is proven miracle. Wednesday morning all of her doctors are shocked that they still see her fighting for her life. We had to wait for days for here to get back at ICU since there is no vacant bed during that time.

She went back to the ICU and stayed there for a month. They finally put her vital stats stable and they manage to remove the stone that has clogged for a months in her organs. She manage to stay strong during this battle. And now as crisis hit our world, we wish to take her home. Funds we can generate from this will be a great help to pay her ballooning Hospital bills and Medical needs. Thank you so much for your time reading this and for helping my mom. God bless you all.
