Legs for Danila

We met Danila six years ago in a distant orphanage. The charming smiling little one was almost 4 years old, and he could not walk. Danila has a cerebellum disorder and atrophy of the motor nerves in the trunk of the spinal cord. So he was born and at the age of 1 year got into an orphanage. He moved on his arms, dragging his feet and was at the same time very smart and sociable kid. It is clear that in an orphanage, and even more so, in a disabled home, wherever he went to at 5, it was not possible for him to grow into a full-fledged member of society. We took him to our big family. All this time he was engaged in physical education, he learned to swim and win in competitions. He defeated his most terrible kyphosis, got to his feet and went to the ordinary general school himself. In tutors with crutches. But himself. And he wanted to ride a school bus from school to the pool. Because he does not want to be different from ordinary children with whom he is friends. Now Danila is 10 years old, and he is in the 4th grade. He writes funny stories in his native Russian. Participates in almost all events on a par with his brothers, sister and friends. Danya proves to himself, to us and to all people around him, that the strength of character, constant work and optimism allow a person to live a full-fledged joyous life and to know that he has the future and he is what he wants. Our problem is that the tutors (orthoses) that are necessary for walking need to be changed every six months, because, fortunately, he has grown quite well. Our income is not enough for such expensive specialized equipment, because in our family, besides Danila, there are 4 more children. Therefore, we, or rather, Danila, needs your help.
