In 2018, Bahram Hojreh, head coach of International Water Polo Club (IWPC), was charged with alleged inappropriate contact with several of his female players at the JFTB military swimming pool. All these players quickly sued and many of their friends quickly joined. NONE OF THESE ALLEGATIONS ARE TRUE AND THE ACCUSERS ARE LIKELY MOTIVATED BY THE PROSPECTS OF MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR SETTLEMENTS WITH USA WATER POLO AND TWO CALIFORNIA PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICTS. THE SHOCKING INFORMATION THAT YOU WILL READ BELOW IS ONLY A VERY VERY SMALL FRACTION OF PROOF THAT BAHRAM IS INNOCENT AND WHY HE TRULY NEEDS YOUR HELP.
In 25 years of coaching, Bahram has exemplified hard work, fair play, and integrity. He frequently helped out families that had money issues, as long as the kids were having fun, improving, and the sport of water polo was getting stronger. Just as most teachers are heroes, Bahram is a hero. A hero that taught K-12 children and adults water polo. A hero that truly tried to do his role to make his young players into, not just good water polo players and good students, but also good people.
In late 2016, a water polo assistant coach at Kennedy High school, Josh Owens, got in legal trouble for inappropriate sexual relations with several water polo players. The Head coach, Eric Pierce, stated that he didn’t see or know of anything inappropriate happening. Bahram does not know and has never met Josh Owens. In 2017, the families of these girls hired Morgan Stewart of Manly, Stewart and Finaldi and another law firm to represent them in the civil case for money damages. This case settled for $7.9 million. Several months after hiring Morgan Stewart, one of these girls and the sister of another of these girls, along with three others (all teammates and good friends), who were also players at IWPC, now make accusations against Bahram and ask Morgan Stewart to represent them. Are you connecting the dots? Currently, Morgan Stewart is representing multiple girls in this case. (Most of the facts in this paragraph were previously reported in the Orange County Register)
A potential witness, who wants to remain anonymous for the time being, that was frequently at the water polo practices has stated “EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW THAT I WAS AT THE PRACTICES. I WAS THERE A LOT. I DO NOT BELIEVE THE ALLEGATIONS BECAUSE I WAS THERE AND DIDN’T SEE ANY OF IT. IT IS GENUINELY IMPOSSIBLE TO COMMIT THESE HEINOUS ACTS IN A U.S. MILITARY OLYMPIC-SIZE POOL WITHOUT ANY OF THE 2-3 LIFEGUARDS SITTING ON TOWERS OR WALKING THE POOL DECK, 7-10 COACHES PRESENT, MANY PARENTS PRESENT, THE CONSTANT UNANNOUNCED VISITS BY THE MILITARY POLICE OR ANY OF THE NEARLY 100 INDIVIDUALS IN THE POOL NOTICING. AND 1000s OF TIMES! SINCE BAHRAM WAS OUR BEST COACH AND WAS LOUD, MOST EYES WERE USUALLY FOCUSED ON HIM WHETHER HE WAS INSTRUCTING ON THE DECK OR INSTRUCTING IN THE POOL. IT IS JUST IMPOSSIBLE FOR THESE HEINOUS ACTS TO HAVE OCCURRED 1000s OF TIMES, WITHOUT A SINGLE PERSON EVER SEEING IT.”
Bahram’s assistant coach Eduardo Osorio, close friends with accusers and their families, started the launch of Ohana Water Polo Academy with the help of some of the accusers’ families prior to Bahram’s club even being banned from the military pool. In his deposition, Eduardo, who speaks perfect English, requesting an interpreter, made countless misstatements, yet stated that he had never seen anything inappropriate. Another former IWPC assistant coach, affiliated with Ohana, Eric Pierce, in depositions and under oath, made several intentional misstatements, but he also stated that he never saw anything inappropriate. Yes, the same Eric Pierce who was the head coach at Kennedy High School with Josh Owens as his assistant. So, within one year of one-another, two water polo coaches that don’t know each other, are accused. They only thing that they have in common is one of the accusers, the sister of another, and Eric Pierce, who happens to be close friends with the accusing families. What are the chances? Are you still connecting the dots?
A Los Angeles County deputy sheriff, with four daughters as members of IWPC, stated in his deposition that he was always there at the pool and never saw anything inappropriate.
Many people, including coaches, referees, former players and parents have reached out to Bahram to offer support. Thank you. These frivolous criminal and civil proceedings have financially and emotionally destroyed Bahram. Throughout the years, this kind-hearted man has made countless of small and large donations to small charitable groups. Whether the donation was for a serious matter such as a heart operation, a suicide in the family, or for something less serious, like law enforcement Canine gear, or to help fund water polo national players to fly to foreign countries, he was always, always there for others. Please consider making a small donation for this innocent man. All donations are greatly appreciated. Please "Share" this story so more people know what has been happening for the past three years.
Lastly, a couple of minor thoughts and requests:
Bahram always encouraged parents to video their children in practices and games for purposes of instructions and also to send to colleges for recruitment purposes. If you have some of these old videos or any other helpful information, or if you just want to send a message of support, please make contact through the email address [email protected]. Your videos and information will be kept confidential.
Mr. Morgan Stewart, civil attorney for the accusers’ goal is clear. He needs to be an advocate for his clients. An 8-figure insurance settlement contingency fee, partly at the expense of the California public school taxpayers is also a great motivator. Is this why he prefers to leak testimonies of people that are suing for millions, rather than leak deposition testimonies of people that are completely unbiased and uninterested in the outcome? Morgan Stewart should stop steering the media with what he wants them to think. The public deserves the truth. He should either give the media everything or give them nothing and let the process play out. Unless, Morgan Stewart thinks that his clients are lying!
The constitution mandates our system of justice for one to be presumed innocent until proven guilty and that every person is entitled to a fair trial. This mandate is meaningless if the government looks the other way when individuals come to court or deposition, take an oath to tell the truth, and then clearly lie. It is believed provable acts of perjury have happened here and the government should not be indifferent about it. Allegations of sexual abuse MUST always be investigated. Allegations of fraud, corruption, and perjury MUST also be investigated. We must remember most importantly, as God is our witness, FACTS MATTER, TRUTH MATTERS; THERE WERE MANY PEOPLE AT EVERY PRACTICE AND THE REASON THAT NO ONE EVER SAW ANYTHING WAS THAT NOTHING INAPPROPRIATE EVER HAPPENED.
YOUR GENEROUS DONATION WILL BE HELPING A PERSON WHO IS INNOCENT OF ALL CHARGES AND ALLEGATIONS. YOUR DONATION, REGARDLESS OF ITS SIZE, WILL MAKE A LOUD AND CLEAR STATEMENT THAT FALSE ACCUSATION IS NEVER EVER ACCEPTED IN OUR SOCIETY.
