Equal rights for casual agency workers compared with contractual/permanent staffs to stop employers' unfair actions.
As a past casual employee of a renowned university, I faced (multiple times) discriminations based on my Indian origin, my religion and disability, I was removed from my 2 different jobs as I stood against the wrongdoings of the management. As a casual, I was least protected by the law and I couldn't take any action against the injustice.
We need to stop employers treating casual workers unfairly using law in their favour. In many cases, employers discriminate or take extremely unfair action against the casual employees and dismiss them unfairly, just to save themselves from any legal obligations and accountability. This system has to change to safeguard the employee's dignity and rights at all levels.
I have taken the matter to the Employment tribunal and hope to win it but I need your support and help to hire a good barrister.
