Jaycee has been living in New York since 2019 when they left their hometown of Ottawa to marry an American and start a new life. Now they need the help of an immigration lawyer to protect their status in the US following a domestic violence separation. Immigration lawyers are not available right now through their area's legal aid resources, so Jaycee needs to pay out of pocket.

Jaycee is a survivor. They have chronic illness that they manage every day, but prevents them from working and attending school simultaneously. They have two years left at Niagara University in pursuit of a Bachelors Degree in Art History with Museum Studies. This unique program offers undergraduate curatorial experience in a fine art museum, and the majority of Jaycee's education is funded by scholarships. This is an opportunity unavailable to Jaycee anywhere else.

Jaycee has an incredible artistic spirit that they are nurturing, and your support would mean a weight lifted off a person who keeps a brave face on while so many forces work to bring them down.
