I'm a newborn and maternity photographer with my own studio (rented property) in Edenvale, Johannesburg and do lifestyle photography full time.
I'm also the sole breadwinner as a single mother of two young children.
Sadly, I'm one of so many who have lost their income during the Cover-19 Epidemic.
There have been several financial relief programs for small business and other industries. However, (and understandably so) the focus seems to be more on companies with employees. Self employed are falling through the cracks. The one organisation who did assist us, are closed due to high volumes and sadly I was to late to get my application in.
I have not given up hope and still trying to sell:
* extra photo galleries to clients who do have
* doing composition and water paint edits for clients
* selling limited vouchers valid till end of 2021
But due to the future uncertainty, many do not have cash flow to spend right now and very little request or payments have come in.
Please take a look at my website and Facebook page to validate I'm a legit and full time photographer. I've been doing this full time since 2016 and opened my studio February 2018
For the duration of the lockdown I'm not able to generate an income as through doing booked sessions. I'm one of many who needs assistance & whom have been impacted by the lockdown.
Kind Regards, Monya
