Hello everyone,

My name is Bonnie Emmons and I have decided to start this funding in order to help out my little sister Leah. She is a smart and kind hearted girl who has worked many years to be where she is today. On Mother's day, Leah is due to Graduate with her Masters in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis. She has had a tremendous abount of help from the VA via step-father Brian Rostron who has risked his life in the United States Airforce.

Leah has worked so hard to reach her goal despite being a single mother to my adorable neice (AKA~the next Shirley Temple). She has gone through sleepless nights with what seemed to be endless amounts of studying and homework, to the point where I feared for her health. She did all this in addition to working five days a week. I could not understand why she would want to over-work her self, it just made no sense to me.

Just before Christmas this year Leah was continuously getting sinus infections and despite the doctor trying to convince her that it was most likely due to stress and all she had going on in her life, she let him know that there was something more then just that. She let him know that her body was telling her something was not right. He caved in and told her he would take various tests. The day before Christmas Leah was told she has an auto immune disease, the specific name is Sjogrens syndrome.

Yes it was hard for her and all of us to hear those words and on the day before Christmas?!? That has not brought her down, nope, not one bit. She is strong, a fighter and plans to do everything possible to live a healthy lifestyle, not only for her, but her daughter Ariana as well. I am here to help her and encourage her for as long as I live. She is my best friend, my rock, and even has been my inspiration to further my own educationwith a goal of graduating in Noember 2015 and to have the job of my Dreams. As many of you know, Leah Rose Emmons is beautiful inside and out.  She holds so much love in her heart & soul and BTW is still waiting and looking forward to meeting her prince charming, is there a "Go Fund Me" for this perdicament? (Just joking) lol, yes just a joke.

Again, I am so proud of her and her accomplishments and anyone that knows and Loves her knows this. She is all about living the life you love and loving the life you live. In fact we just celebrated Leah's 26th birthday with our friend of 30 years, Diana D. dancing, laughing, reminiscing the night away, oh my gosh it was a blast and moments never to be forgotten.

Leah recieved some disappointing news right after her birthday, the VA let her no that after her 26th birthday, they could no longer hand over the funds for her last 2 months of college. This is the cut off rules that they apparently need to apply in her situation and probably many others. Mind you, these are the last two months before she is supposed to recieve her Masters in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis. On Mother's day she is due to walk across that stage with a smile so big, so proud, so accomplished and certainly well deserved. I am willing to anything to make this possible for her.

Only, she cannot do this unless we help to raise $3,800 for her to pay off these last two months, if she does not get this money she will not be able to walk across the stage on Mother's day (an awesome gift). She has come so far, will you please help to raise this money for this young lady who is seeking help in any way possible to finish these last weeks and graduate with her Master's Degree. She even spoke to me of selling her furniture etc. and how she has no options. This would mean the World to her and in turn, for me too, I have faith that together we can accomplish this goal. Thanks so very much for reading.

 Sincerely,

 Bonnie Lee Emmons Trotter
