Help me bring Yoga and Wellness to students around the globe

For as long as I can remember, I've been teaching: first as a youth counselor, then a high school teacher, a martial arts instructor, and now I am entering my 5th year as a yoga teacher. I'm a Yoga Alliance ERYT-200 certified instructor, and I've had the honor of leading and/or coaching almost a dozen teacher trainings. I've seen firsthand how Yoga has the power to transform people's lives.

My goal is to bring the healing and wellness-promoting benefits of yoga to as many people as possible. I've wanted to open a brick and mortar studio, but in LA this can cost over 200k just to open the doors. An online business, however, costs only a fraction of that amount to start and maintain. In order to survive, yoga and fitness instructors must teach a large number of classes: often we have to travel to and from numerous studios, gyms, and private client's homes. This can be costly and exhausting, and not always profitable.

As a graduate with a degree in educational technology, I've always believed that online learning is a great way to reach students who, for whatever reason, have difficulty getting into a classroom or studio. My goal is to make Laura Teaches Yoga an online Yoga academy that is accessible to everyone, everywhere.
