Hello! I want to thank you for your time first off. This fundraiser is for my Daughter Laura, who is a recovering heroin addict. She was in active addiction for over 10 years, but has now been clean for 1 1/2 years. She has been living in a sober living facility during this time, while attending counseling, and continuous AA meetings throughout the week several times. She will be graduating from her program and sober living in March. We are so very proud she has made it this far. Laura is a very bright young girl, who still has a chance to work on her future. So many don't make it. We know we are Blessed to still have her here in our lives. We are proud that she volunteers her time every Friday night to help other young girls by giving them encouragement, and helping them with solutions to succeed as well. Laura is 32 years old, and has two girls, ages 6 and 9, whom me and my husband have legal custody of. Laura does see them every week, and they have been a big part of her recovery. She does work a full time job at McDonalds, but with paying all her legal fees, rent, and groceries, she doesn't have much left to spare at the end of the week .

When she graduates from sober living in March, she will need a car to continue her meetings, and work. Right now she has to take the bus everywhere, which can take up to 2 extra hours a day between everything she has to do, however, she plans on moving closer to her children when she graduates, and may not have access to buses like she does now. I would love to be able to give her a decent car when this happens. She has worked so very hard on her recovery, and I believe she deserves this!
