Laura’s Dental Implants

My mom has been waiting this opportunity since a long time ago and I would really like to help her. Her history starts when she was 7 years old and my alcoholic and abusive grandfather would hit her and my grandmother almost every day to the point of leaving their legs full of blood and their bodies full of bruises from the attacks. When she was 13 years old in one of the attacks my grandfather punch my mom in the face and left her without 4 of her frontal teeth. Since the abuse was too much to take and my grandmother refusing to leave my grandfather because of fear, my mom had to make a decision and left the house and started living in the streets for a long time until she had the chance to work as a waitress and rented her first place. When she was 24 she got an unintended pregnancy and she didn’t have access to good medical attention and got lack of calcium and lost more of her upper teeth to the point of only having 4 back teeth in the upper side of her mouth. She used a dental prosthesis for many years, but it wasn’t a good one and started losing her palate taste sense to the point of having none taste.

A few years ago we started to get really concern cause her back teeth started wearing and her teeth prosthesis started falling and there was no way to hold it. We started looking for an specialist to get her implants, but the doctor said that since she didn’t have her teeth for so long she lost the bone that supported the upper teeth and she couldn’t get normal implants but she would also needed to get bone implants in order to get the teeth implants.

We started saving money and even asked for a loan in the bank to help her get her teeth back, but we only got half of the money and only made the money for the bone implants. After that the doctor had to remove 2 upper teeth and ended up with only 2 upper teeth, and now we are asking for help to get the other half of the money for the second part of the process which is the teeth implants. She is to turn 51 years old and I know she still have a lot of years ahead to live her life and it would be and amazing opportunity to have the chance to give this to her.
