WHAT IS LASTSUB

Simply put a decentralized peer to peer social media platform which ensures your content, interactions and monetization avenues are safeguarded indefinitely on your LastSub profile but also on all your external social media accounts synced to it.

There are no dedicated servers and is entirely run by users for users. A multi blockchain system that creates its own internal network. Users who become nodes supplying system resources who in turn are remunerated for services rendered.

THE WORLD GRID

The world grid is comprised of sectors.
Each sector has a primary cluster delegating resources.
The primary cluster for each sector is determined by having the lowest ms (response time).
Additionally if that cluster goes offline or has insufficient resources to supply that sector, the next best cluster with the lowest ms besides the primary cluster will start delegating its own resources for that sector. More clusters will be assigned until that sector has enough resources allocated to it.

A NODE

Is a device sharing resources which belongs to a user who is part of the affiliate program.
There is no limit to how many nodes / devices a user can share but there is a limit to the total pooled resources a user can contribute.

Storage =< 100TB
CPU =< 16 threads
Memory =< 10GB

A CLUSTER
Is made up of several hundred nodes which form a virtual server to delegate resources.

DATA REDUNDANCY

Data is encrypted, fragmented and replicated to a maintained minimum of 50 copies across the world grid.

ROADMAP

2019-03 (LastSub founded)

Company registered under the enterprise name of LastSub PTY LTD.

Initial development started but was put on hold due to lack of funds.

2020-05 - GoGetFunding Fundraising

Campaign launched to raise the initial $500 000 required for the first two phases of the project.

TBA - Phase 1 (Development) + 2 (Release))

Phase 1
Early development of the project, where the first set of primary features will be added which focuses on the engagement between users and social media networks. Mobile, web browser extensions integrations and LSID system added. Public Beta testing will occur after internal Alpha testing irons out the serious bugs.

Phase 2
Official release to the public. Paid plans will be free for the first three months. Streamlining and bug squashing combined with community feedback to make sure the service is polished.

TBA - Phase 3 (Persistence)

Next batch of primary features adding content, interaction and community persistence, analytics, publishing and management systems.

TBA - Phase 4 (Management)

More features expanding on the previous phase and new team management and integrations for larger entities added.

TBA - Phase 5 (Offline mode)

Introduction to cache and view content offline without internet access. Direct advertisement reward system added.
Further streamlining system and bug squashing.

ABOUT US

HOW IT ALL STARTED

During the early 2010’s certain people I followed mostly on YouTube hadn’t posted in ages and to my dismay they were gone from my subscription list. Either I was merely un-subbed from them or their entire account was deleted with only a broken link to a profile that no longer existed, lingering in the subscription list.

Of course people created new accounts or moved to different platforms where you could subscribe to them again but it became increasingly harder to keep track of. The only way to battle this was to painstakingly copy and paste each person’s username into a text document and then compare it to the subscription list from time to time. Let’s just say the will to compare lists on a weekly basis vanished rather quickly.

Fast forward to 2018, again dozens of subscriptions vanished, either they didn’t exist or the profiles were completely blank. I searched for applications, plugins, web browser extensions but no one was offering such a service to allow me to keep track of my subscriptions, even if it was just for YouTube let alone for other social media platforms. After some research, the realization that this was a far larger problem for so many people across different systems become apparent.

And from that point I decided to take the first step of many to create LastSub.

OUR MISSION

To keep people connected to one another, ensuring their Content, Interactions, and Community items are safeguarded, while continuously working towards making it easier to upload, view and interact with content as well as other users across multiple platforms under a single centralized system.

NAME & LOGO

The company name “LastSub” stands for “Last Subscription”, since it will be the last subscription you will ever need, as corny as it sounds. *A little “Men in Black” reference.

The logo is derived from three Viking runes, Eihwaz (defence), Ansuz (signals) and Thurisaz (gateway).
