Campaign Story
Well, I'm just trying to help my friend in small coastal village in Cost Rica to change her life in very difficult times.
She started to work when she was 16 in restaurants as kitchen helper, and she quickly gained skills to become cook and worked in different restaurants (Italian, French, German and many locals) amplifying her skills and knowledge. Today after hard work for 26 years she didn't manage to save any money to own even a small house. Mostly because she had to pay rent all those years and rise 2 kids by her self from her salary. When the high season ended (April) usually restaurants closed down and she had to survive trough rainy season year after year (June to November).
This year she lost her job in mid March and because of pandemic restrictions there is no job to get because most restaurant closed permanently or working with minimum employees.
Now she get offer to open her own small fast-food place and get some equipment to work (paid in monthly rates) , but when she finally found the cheapest spot to rent came another problem. It need reconstruction so me and couple of friends put some money together, but we need just little bit more to finish it and change her life.
I didn't put her picture here because I don't want to make her popular or make her target of bad talks because she lives in small village, just trying to get little help from good people and if someone asks I can send more details privately.
I promise to publish bills for every dollar spent in this fundraiser and hopefully pics of finished dream.
P.S. : If for some miracle the amount gets higher then I'm asking, the difference will be used to help local families in similar situation and trust me there are plenty.
Thank you for reading and please share with your friends.
