Last gift for my Dear Mother cruel Psp disease. I didnt know about this horrible disease until it hit one of my biggest treasures in my life :"( All Angels out there please help me to give the last gift to my dear mom Maria Grijalva Ontiveros 5-18-1948 Oh God, in July, 2011 my dear mother, my family and I got into a roller coaster filled with all kind of emotions. At the beginning doctors diagnosed her with "multiple strokes" ....with the months passing and more and more symptoms arriving, i decided to ask for an specialist and new tests were done. The response was "misdiagnosis....no strokes!! "YOR MOM HAS PSP" ... do u know what it is??? I said no. ~ok this is a very rare disease, progressive and with no cure!!!!!!! As soon as i get home from hospital.. i started seArching for PSP disease and the most i was learning about it , the most scared i was.... this is a terrible cruel disease for patients and family.... please read more about this at curepsp.org I joined this page and has been helping me a lot with many information as well as the hospice care. My mom started falling often and often, when she came home, i was taking care of her 24/7 because of the advanced of the disease she required maximum assistance with all activities of daily living......on Dec 2012 while doctors diagnosis her with PSP in its last stage, so now she is under hospice care since we received the sad news... Our lives rotated 360o in a few days. my kids are all love and comprehension my little one is 6 my middle one is 14 and my daughter is 22 . THEY have been there for support me emotionally at any time. My mom condition now is end of stage, :"( that is what doctors said .... but GOD is the only one deciding the right moment. Thru this journey, everything has been said between my mom and I... nothing left behind, loud laughs, good quality moments.... and nothing pending to say and even in this rough road that feels so good. She is not able to communicate no more, but she is still aware of everything around her. (this disease is like getting trapped in her own body) With the progression of her physical pain and my emotional pain, we both still walking together and forward to the next step... she promised me that she is working in preparing herself spiritually and ....
