Las Ferminas Animal Paradise

In 2012 we started with this dream, the dream was to build not just a shelter but a paradise for animals. All over the world there are animals suffering because  humans have a lot of bad habits that involve their suffering, we believe that we need to give them back what they have given us, and the way we want to do this, is by giving them a new home, a place to have a happy life, right now we have 30 goats, they all have names, they are not products, they are our family, we have  ducks, two pigs, a jenny (donkey) called Martina, our beloved Martina, a retired running mare, Ramona, a red crowned parrot, called Pacorro, a little rooster called Totopo, the name Las Ferminas was inspired by the book written by Gabriel Garcia Marquez  "The Love in The Time of Cholera" in wich Florentino, the leading male role devoted his life to Fermina, in Las Ferminas we want to devote our life to the welfare of our animals, this proyect is lead by me Erick Reza, I´m a veterinarian who loves animals deeply and I also decided to devote my life to them  and my  best friend Cesar Ramirez who loves animals more than he loves himself. We milk our goats and make cheese to sell it and cover the costs of feeding the animals but the problem is that we have been growing, we received a lot of new animals and we never planned to become rich or have money for us, we wanted to keep the animals happy and we wanted to have just the necessary for surviving, we have all the animals in the outsides of Mexico City, we rented a ranch in wich the have a good life and plenty of space to run, play and eat but right now the owners decided to sell the place, we do not have the money to buy the place wich is about 3 acres and we do not have a place to move our animals, they suffered a lot in the past, most of them would be dead by now but now they enjoy life, we need to raise founds to feed all of the animals, to build more environemental enrichment and we want to receive new members like a 2 months old raccoon who was found in a bag of garbage with his brothers, unfortunately his brothers died asfixiated inside the bag but he is alive and he deserves a new oportunity, the doors of our place are open 24/7 for anyone who wants to see how we treat our animals, how they live and if you decide to donate we can send you photos and videos of the things we do with the money we raise, we do not like money, usually we exchange our cheese for other products like vegetables and fruits but unfortunately we need to keep the place for the animals, hope you can be a part of this dream and save the place, we consider all of our animals as members of a huge family and we don´t want to lose them.
