Large Family Van Died

We are a family of 9. Two months ago the Triton V10 engine in our family's van died. We have only an old pick-up truck that Dad uses for work. We are seeking funds to get the engine replaced or replace the 1997 15 Passenger E350 all-together.

We aren't looking for anything extravagant. We have had this van for a little over 2 years. In that time, including purchase price, we have put less than $2000 into it. It has gotten us around 35K miles in that time.

We need our 15-passenger working so Mom can do grocery shopping, the home schooled kids can go on field trips and participate in homeschool groups activities, and our place of worship is 25 miles one way.

Dad lost his almost 6-figure income over a year ago and has been trying to make a go at a business since then. It has been very hard in this economy to get it off the ground, and unfortunately our emergency fund has been depleted on other emergencies since he lost his job.
