Hello, I am a music education student at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. My laptop has recently broken and I have no money. I am taking online summer classes and it is very difficult doing online courses during the summer without a computer. I am an upcoming junior and I am very excited and I would really like to be successful, but to do that I need your help to get a laptop and pay for books. I need a macbook pro computer. Yes they are expensive! I need it because it is a very good computer and I plan on pursuing a doctorate degree in music and I need a computer to last me that long. I will provide a detailed budget plan to show you what I plan to do with the money you donate. A macbook pro is $1113. Microsoft Office is $140. Combined is $1253. Finale, which is a music program that allows you to compose music is $275. (total is now $1528). I also need a recording microphone for the computer because when I audition for schools, some ask for demo CDs. This will cost about $32. I will also use the money to buy a best brass harmon mute because the mute I have now really alters the intonation of my sound and I recently tried it out and really liked what I heard. The best brass mute is $155 dollars and here is a link with pricing since it is a little tricky to find. http://www.hornguys.com/tptmutes.php This now brings the total to $1715. When fall classes begin it's time to buy textbooks! This will make up the rest of the total. The books will be for music history, trumpet lessons, orchestration, public speaking, music theory, fundamentals of education, fundamentals of special education, and a few more classes. Thank you so much for reading and I really appreciate you taking the time to read this and your donation is truly appreciated!
