Lapis@Papel

As Canva drives to be a force for good, the manila finance team has partnered with “Lapis@Papel Project” (direct translation is Pencil and Paper) an Organization which is very dear to the heart of our very own Jessie Recto to help indigenous people continue their right to learn and have an education.

@ Salay Elementary School [2016] - Jessie Recto, a year prior to joining Canva Manila.

The target population are Mangyans which is the generic name for the eight indigenous groups found on the island of Mindoro (as defined by wikipedia ).

So our activity is to gather as much school supplies as possible and distribute this to the community.

We have already provided our proposal to Canva Social Goals Coordinators for the gift packs .

In this regards, we are knocking on your gentle hearts for any amount that we can use to further the cause and maybe create a few moments of joy and happiness by hosting activities while serving a hot meal for children on the day of the gift giving.

Any amount will definitely make a big difference.
