#LangaForMen Fundraising Campaign

Meet Siyabonga & Luyolo, co-founders of #LangaForMen, who are on a mission to end gender-based violence in South Africa. Both Siya & Luyolo lost their mothers, victims of gender-based violence, at a young age and have been working closely with many victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence in their communities.

"We realised that most organisations were telling women what to do, how to dress and stay safe etc but no one was talking to the men, the root of the issue, that is where we come in." - Luyolo Lengisi

#LangaForMen turns perpetrators into 'protect-hers' by educating young men on how to treat women with respect and dignity, and by supporting their peers through their own healing to stop the cycles of abuse that have been continuing in our country.

What impact will our campaign create?

We want #LangaForMen to become a registered NPO that will ensure that the next generation of young men in South Africa treat women and children with love and care. We want women to feel safe anywhere they go. This is our responsibility and our commitment.Foundational phase funding (NPO setup):

- Office & workshop space rental
- Salaries for our core team
- Electronics (phone, printer, laptop, projector)
- Wifi & stationery
- Marketing materials & merchandise
- Transport costs
- Sundries

Secondary Phase (Crisis Centre)

- Safe Space for healing with professional care workers:
- Medical staff
- Trauma Specialists
- Training programs for more care workers
- Educational programs (counselling, contraceptives, sex ed, etc)
