Hiking Home for Ladakh

Hi everyone!

On the 28th June, approximately 40 students will be travelling to Ladakh, India, to help out in the medical camp at the Lamdon Clinic (based in Lamdon School) alongside the Himalayan Health Project (HHP) for a week. We will be assisting with different procedures including optometry, dentistry and basic medical checkups for men, women and children.

In order for our trip to be a success, our group of 40 must raise at least SGD $40,000 to fund the medical equipment which is inaccessible to those we will be aiding in the remote Himalayan villages.

So, myself (Wei Teng), Miki, Rebecca and Yi Jing are aiming to raise SGD $ 4,000! To reach our goal, we will be walking from our school to each of our homes, which should take 6 hours, to represent not only the journey that many of the people in Ladakh must take in order to seek medical care at the Lamdon Clinic but the journey that the Lamdon School students must take daily in order to receive an education.
