"Mandirigma" - that's what we used to call Judi. I personally was in awe where on earth does she find the strength to traverse Caloocan-Makati on a daily basis, manage their household as soon as she gets home; we will always ask her then , "Kaya mo pa?", "Musta byahe, buhay ka pa?".

As stars aligned, we got to meet Judi in 2013. We were all working as executive recruiters for a Japan-based firm. She is a mix of your typical chikadora friend with a never-say-die attitude. Even though targets were hard , she will double her output to be able to reach that goal. That is the Judi that we all know. In fact, she was awarded recruiter of the month for a couple of times by reaching the most number of appointments made!

We of course all went our separate ways but kept in touch. You know what? Our girl has several appointments made again last month! But those weren't the kind of recruiter targets -- those were doctors' appointments. She met different doctors trying to figure out what is wrong with her body and being her ol'feisty self, she still tried to go to work even if she has fever. Until that fateful day when she was handed the news she dreaded.

Remember when I told you, she used to be a rockstar recruiter? She had difficult targets, yet, she reached those. Today, our friend has a difficult set of targets.
  • 1 Operation
  • 6 Chemo Cycles
  • 6 Radiation Treatment

The effects of this illness are devastating her and her family. The operation, may be covered by their insurance, however, the other treatment options are uncertain.

Judi is a mom of 5 beautiful kids. Her spouse is one of the frontliners now manning checkpoints and maintaining peace and order during as the country faces the COVID-19 crisis. Her operation was postponed because of the community quarantine but, hopefully it gets rescheduled earlier than the end of the Enhanced Community Quarantine.

Help our friend get the chance to watch her kids grow. Their youngest is not even a year old. Our goal is to raise PhP 250,000 for them to help ease the financial burden and resultant stress that the family is facing.

Alternatively, you can also send her your love directly
