This fundraising campaign is for Baby Joseph Gael Gutierrez, youngest son of Arran and Arlene Gutierrez. Baby Gael was born in August 17, 2018 with Diagnosis of: Arnold Chiari II: Lumbar Myelomeningocoele with Tethered Cord Syndrome Congenital Hydrocephalus.

Procedure Performed:

1) Left Post Parietal VP shunting, & 2) Repair of Lumbar Myelomeningocoele, cord detethering

On August 21, 2018, just 4 days from his birth he went through an emergency brain and spine surgery at Philippine General Hospital wherein the water on his brain was removed. With God's Grace, Baby Gael's operation was successful.

As he grows up, he might need to undergo surgery on his forehead, and rehabilitation therapy for him to walk. We want Baby Gael to live a normal life one day, that is why all your prayers and help will count.

Baby Gael's parents are doing their best to gather the amount needed to pay off their hospital expenses. Arran and Arlene's employers, families and friends have gathered to contribute to the hospital costs. Currently, Arran is also seeking offline help via PCSO and government agencies.

With this, the hospital expenses at Manila Doctors Hospital where Gael was born via Arlene's cesarean delivery were paid. Initial donations of upto 80,000 pesos for Baby Gael's surgery costs at Philippine General Hospital were also acquired.

But their hospital expenses has a long way to go. With the total surgery expenses amounting to at least Php 500,000.00, we still need to raise about Php 420,000.00 immediately so that Baby Gael will be discharged and the hospital bills stop incurring additional charges.

Such expenses includes the professional fees of the Neurosurgeon (who did the operation), Urologist (because the baby has not been defecating and urinating since the surgery), Pediatrician, and the hospital facilities, equipment and medicines used.

They say that it takes an entire village or community to raise a child. And this time, we encourage your kind hearts to be part of this community that will give Baby Gael an opportunity to have a normal, healthy and happy life.
