SCROLL FOR GR - FR - IT

L. is a French anarchist comrade, and a queer female person of color.

The past two years, she lives in Athens, Greece and is part of the migrant solidarity movement, as well as other parts of the Athenian movement.

L. has been facing health issues with endometriosis the past years, which translate into a really burdened quality of life with many side effects daily and a lot of pain. Endometriosis and the level of pain it is connected to, can be highly debilitating for people who were born with a uterus. Due to the patriarchal structure of society, there is not enough research on the disease, and even doctors and “common sense” consider pain to people with uteri as “normal”, and in their “nature”.

Concerning the absolute lack of any correct and accurate info about Endometriosis in Greece, and other countries as well, L. was able to go through surgery in one of the few reliable clinics in Bordeaux, France.

As the Public Insurance was not to cover the inexplicably high surgery costs, L. had to do a highly risky surgery, with an uncertain recovery time privately in this clinic.

The surgery went well, recovery though being taking months, which doesn’t allow L. to work, and the costs are due on the 3rd of December.

We are L.’s comrades and took the initiative to help her raise some money for her medical expenses.
We believe in mutual aid and solidarity among political networks.

Donations would be of great great importance as the recovery will last at least until the turn of the New Year.

Thanks for supporting!
