First off, we would like to thank all the supporters on and offline who donated to Kyrone's "Go for Gold" campaign in April where he walked away with Bronze Medal and a spot on the USA National Boxing team (this is the team that competes in the Olympics). Since then Kyrone has gone on to compete in two other national tournaments where he has earned a Silver medal in the National Golden Gloves Championships in Salt Lake City, UT and 1st Place in the Adidas National Boxing Tournament in Oxnard, CA . Our work is not done yet, but we need your help!!

DDF is a non-profit organization geared to assist aspiring youth to fulfill their dreams and goals by providing financial and technical resources needed to attain their goals and to provide a platform where they can blossom to their full potential.
Who is Kyrone Davis aka “KY”
Born in Monmouth County, NJ on November 7, 1994, Kyrone’s interest in the boxing world started at the young age of 8 years old after attending his cousins boxing match in Newark, NJ. His father Darone Davis took Ky, as he is called by family and friends, to the Red Brick Gym where he trained under Tim Wilson for 4 years. At the age of 12, he and his family relocated to Delaware where he continued to pursue his interest in the sport of boxing at the William Hicks Community Center (WHACC) in Wilmington, under the late Lou Lum. Currently Ky still trains and the WHACC center under trainer Doug Pettiford. In addition, he strength trains with Barry Swanson of Train Hard Win Big Inc.
Kyrone, a 2013 graduate of Christiana High School is very involved in his community. Although his main focus is his boxing career, he is also very active in other things as well. Along with being a Member of the Wilmington Fire Department Explorers Program for Post 100, he has also served as Chaplain for the YMCA Black Achievers Program, and was involved in the YMCA Youth in Government programs. The eldest of four children, Kyrone also serves as big help to his family and in addition is an active member of his church. Ky enjoys mentoring other Wilmington youth in area of boxing, and as of recently has included public speaking to his repertoire to aid in his contribution as a mentor to not only the youth in Wilmington but abroad. In his free time he enjoys singing, listening to music and sports. Ky has his eyes set on the 2016 Olympics, with12 titles/honorable mentions in his young career, and his most recent 2nd round knockout at the New Heights Festival in (Post Hurricane Sandy) Seaside Heights, NJ Ky is destined for greatness in the world of boxing.
