Kyra’s Medical Volunteer Trip Abroad!

Hello Everyone!

My name is Kyra Marangi and I am 18 years old. If you know me personally, you know that I have a passion for the medical field and that I aspire to become a surgeon someday! I am getting ready to graduate from high school soon and I decided that I wanted to volunteer abroad instead of go on a senior trip; I feel the experience will prove to be much more rewarding as I will be able to be apart of something bigger than myself and also get the chance to put my talents and skills to good use!

I am planning to spend 2-3 weeks in San Jose, Costa Rica to assist busy local hospitals in direct patient care. The reason I want to volunteer abroad is because I love to serve and that's why the medical field is one that I admire the most, especially in the times we are in now. People who dedicate their lives to empower, improve and even save the lives of others completely mesmerize me, and I aspire to do just that. While I may not be doing it to that extent on this trip, I will still be grateful to know that I made a difference in someone else's life.

While I am passionate to embark on this journey, I need a little help getting there; which is the reason I started this fundraiser. I ask that if you can, I would appreciate any donations to my fundraiser; it really would mean the world to me! In exchange for any donations, I would be honored to send you some fun little woven and beaded bracelets, rings, and bracelets (vibrant Costa Rica inspired colors, of course!) that I'll be making myself throughout the duration of the fundraiser!
